Data Availability
Data from trials mentioned in the manuscript have been published prevously. For this analysis, we used collated colonisation data from our challenge model trials. Air-quality data files from Speke, Liverpool were available from the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs. Regional climate data were obtained for 2011-2017 from the nearest Meteorological Office facility (located 69 miles West of Liverpool in Valley, Anglesey).
